The Buffalo Bills have agreed to terms with 24-year-old cornerback Christian Benford on a four-year, $76 million deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. bgames666

The former sixth-round pick in the 2022 draft class is earning an average annual salary of $19 million, making him the 15th-highest paid cornerback at a time when the market for the position is rapidly expanding.

Benford has impressed since his rookie season, playing in nine games despite two injuries. He has started 29 games over the past two seasons and has been one of the Bills’ most consistent players. 

The 2024 season was Benford’s best, with 64 tackles, three tackles for loss, two fumbles, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups. 

The performance earned Benford a new deal from the Bills, becoming the fourth Buffalo player to sign a long-term deal, following quarterback Josh Allen, edge rusher Gregory Russo and linebacker Terrell Bernard.  ( bgames666 )
