LA Chargers linebacker Dyane Henley, 25, has shown his commitment to making a strong start in the 2025 season after impressing last season, NFL Network reports. betflikth99
The former third-round pick in the 2023 draft class will make his first full-time appearance in the 2024 season, where the 25-year-old linebacker impressed with 147 tackles, but it’s just the beginning for him.
“It’s a process and I’m never trying to stand still,” Henley said. “Last year was last year, that’s how it is. I can improve. There’s still a lot for me.”
Henley’s 147 tackles were eighth-most in the league. He also had eight pass breakups, seven tackles for loss, one interception and one sack after just 16 tackles in his rookie season as the 25-year-old linebacker enters his third professional year looking to take his game to the next level.
“I think the most important thing about that kind of expectation is that it has to start from within,” Henley said. “It’s not something that other people should put on you. You have to have it for yourself.”
‘That’s always been my goal and my desire, to be that type of player (in) this league for many years to come, whether it’s this year or next year. That’s what I’ve always tried to do.’
The Chargers have leadership from a number of veterans, most notably Khalil Mack and Derwin James. James, in particular, heaped praise on Henley, saying, “He’s talking more. He’s leading. He’s confident. I feel like the more Dyane plays, the more he’s going to be a leader. It’s going to be a lot easier for him. He’s that type of guy.” ( betflikth99 )
