Bentancur faces FA action over Son racism allegations thaisiambet

thaisiambet Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is in serious trouble after reports suggested he could be banned for seven games by the FA for his comments in an interview which allegedly racially abused Son Heung-min.

Back in June, Bentancur appeared on a Uruguayan TV show and was asked about the Spurs shirt, to which he replied: “Is it Sonny’s? I think it might be Sonny’s relatives, because they all look the same.” thaisiambet

Bentancur has already apologised to Son and the South Korean captain insists he has no grudge and says they are still brothers.

However, the FA did not ignore the matter, charging Bentancur in September and is set to face a further punishment soon.

The 27-year-old midfielder is reportedly facing a seven-match ban for the comments, but it will only be for domestic games, meaning he could still feature for Spurs in the Europa League. ( thaisiambet )
