The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with DJ Mohr on a four-year, $110 million deal, with $82.6 million guaranteed, locking the 27-year-old wide receiver through the 2029 season, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.  ( wilson88  )

Mohr was part of a trade deal that included the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft with the Carolina Panthers. He has career-highs of 96 catches for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns in 17 starts. Although he had two more years left on his contract, the Bears signed him to a four-year extension that will earn him an average annual salary of $27.5 million, the seventh-highest among wide receivers in the NFL.

The signing signals the Bears’ confidence in Mohr, who will be a key weapon for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, and it also represents good business for Chicago, as the 27-year-old is on a lower salary than Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson, Detroit Lions Eamon-Ra St. Brown and Philadelphia Eagles A.J. Brown, who all signed new deals this offseason. 

Other top wide receivers are also likely set to sign new, lucrative contracts, including Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyak and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver JaMar Chase. 

Mohr will be the Bears’ number one wide receiver, with veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, traded from the LA Chargers this offseason, and rookie wide receiver Rome Odunzi, the No. 9 overall pick in the draft.
