Balogun suffered a shoulder injury during a league game against Rennes in early October and withdrew from the USA squad during the October international break, where he has been out since.

The 23-year-old was initially expected to be out for around two months but has made a more rapid recovery than expected and has been training with the team this week, although he is unlikely to be available for Monaco’s next league game at home to Brest on Friday. 

Monaco coach Adi Hutter has spoken about Balogun’s fitness ahead of Friday’s game against Brest: “For Balogun, medically he is fit but not ready to play. He can be a regular in the near future. He has the green light from the medical team but in every clash he has to show he is ready to compete.”  ( wintime999 )
