123overr Kansas City Chiefs veteran punter Harrison Butker is back in action after undergoing knee surgery four weeks ago.

The Kansas City Chiefs have activated Harrison Butker for Sunday’s trip to the Cleveland Browns after removing the 29-year-old from the injured list, ESPN reports.

Butker underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and was placed on injured reserve, missing four games, before the 29-year-old returned to practice this week and was activated by the Chiefs for the trip to Cleveland with the release of Matthew Wright.

With Butker on the injured list, the Chiefs brought on Spencer Schrader and Wright, who both made 11 of 12 field goals and eight extra points. 

Wright was named Special Teams Player of the Week after he kicked a 31-yard field goal on the final play of last week’s win over the LA Chargers, helping the Chiefs win their ninth consecutive AFC West division title, but was eventually released by the team.

Butker, who last played in a 16-10 win over the Denver Broncos on Nov. 10, has made 18 of 20 field goals (longest 53 yards) and 21 of 22 extra points this season. 

Throughout his career, Butker helped the Chiefs win three Super Bowls. He has made 89.2 percent of his field goals and 94.6 percent of his extra points, and needs 25 more points to become the third player in franchise history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
