In the 16th minute, Ipswich, who had less attack, took the lead 1-0 when Axel Tuanzebe threw a high ball into the penalty area on the right for Dara O’Shea to dive and head the ball into the middle for Liam Delap to slide in and shoot from close range into the goal.
In the 38th minute, Wolves almost scored a goal from a lucky break when an ordinary back pass was made but Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer missed the ball and it rolled into the goal but Palmer used his hand to scoop it out before it crossed the line, causing the referee to blow a foul on two free kicks in the penalty area for Wolves. Rayan Ait-Nouri flicked it short to Emmanuel Agbadou who ran in to shoot with full force behind the goal but it was blocked by Sam Morsy who rushed in to block it behind.
Half-time Ipswich lead Wolves 1-0.
In the second half, Wolves almost equalised again when Joao Gomes turned the ball between the lines and took a right-footed shot from the edge of the area, but the ball hit the far post and bounced out.
After that, Wolves continued to attack heavily and in the 73rd minute, they equalized 1-1 from a ball that was dropped into the penalty area on the left side. Jorgen Strand Larsen followed up and blocked the ball before swinging it to the middle of the penalty area for Pablo Sarabia to stop at first, who tried to pass it on, but it was blocked by an Ipswich defender. The ball bounced back to him again, so he pulled it into the corner with his left foot and shot it in one go, disappearing into the goal.
In the 84th minute, Wolves took the lead 2-1 when Andre crossed into the penalty area on the right for Pablo Sarabia to use his left foot to pass to the center for Jorgen Strand Larsen to charge into the net.
123over In the remaining time, the home team was unable to score a goal. The game ended with Wolves defeating Ipswich 2-1, with a very bright chance of survival. This victory means that Wolves, who are ranked 17th, are now 12 points ahead of Ipswich, ranked 18th, with 7 matches remaining. ( 123over )
