The New England Patriots are looking to improve their defense by bringing in Yannick Ngakwe after the edge rusher was released by the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, NBC Sports Boston reported.

Ngakwe began his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars before having stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and back in Baltimore this season, where he will be playing for the seventh team of his career with the Patriots. 

While New England has had a clear pass rush issue this season after trading Matthew Judon to the Atlanta Falcons and losing Christian Barmore to an indefinite sideline with a blood clot, the Patriots also traded Joshua Uche to the Kansas City Chiefs on deadline day.

Ngakwe has 1.5 sacks and seven quarterback pressures in five games with the Ravens this season, and he’ll help bolster the Patriots’ pass rush with Keon White, Dietrich Wise, Anfernee Jennings and O’Shaun Mathis.
