Dak Prescott has been placed on injured reserve, with the 30-year-old expected to miss at least four games and potentially end his season if surgery is required. ( 123over )

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan that Dak Prescott will miss at least four games after the 30-year-old quarterback was placed on injured reserve as previously projected. 

‘I don’t think he’s going to be back in four weeks, so we’re going to put him there and we’re going to have a place in the squad for the next four weeks and then we’re going to move on from there. It’s obviously a tough situation to lose him in that period of time.’

‘But we’re going to do what’s in Dak’s best interest, and right now I don’t think anybody knows if it’s four weeks, six weeks or the whole season. We’re just going to have to keep an eye on this situation and see where it takes us.’

Multiple sources say Prescott is expected to be out for six to eight weeks after tearing a hamstring in last week’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Prescott has been asked for a number of comments on the injury, but there is no word yet on whether the 30-year-old quarterback will need surgery, which would rule him out for the rest of the season.
